The FFB approach: clear scope, clear next steps
A remodeling project affects your money, your schedule and your everyday life. Attractive finishes matter, but so do the details of how the work is planned and completed. Firm Foundation Builders is based in Branson West and serves homeowners, realtors and property managers throughout Southwest Missouri.
Our approach starts with a written estimate and a conversation about the work you actually need. These are the project expectations to review with FFB before approving your remodel or repair.
Know what your estimate includes
Review the work by room or task. Discuss materials, preparation, installation, finishing, cleanup and exclusions. If a selection or allowance remains open, clarify it before deciding. A single price without an understandable scope makes estimates difficult to compare.
Agree on communication and scheduling
Tell us your preferred contact method, property access arrangements and any important deadline. Before work starts, confirm who answers project questions and how schedule changes will be communicated. Material availability, weather and conditions discovered during the work can affect timing; discuss a change rather than assuming the original date still applies.
Review payment terms before committing
FFB collects 50% down, with the remainder due at job completion. Review the written estimate and agreed payment terms before paying. Keep your estimate, approved changes and payment records together so the scope and balance can be understood throughout the project.
Put changes in writing
Additional work and concealed damage can change a project. Discuss the proposed work, added cost and schedule effect, and obtain written approval before it proceeds. If you remove an item or change a material, make sure the written scope reflects that decision.
Plan protection and cleanup
Before demolition, discuss the areas being worked on, nearby belongings, dust protection, access routes and debris removal. Explain whether children, pets or an occupied room need special consideration. Confirm what cleanup is included and how the work area will be reviewed at completion.
Finish with a walkthrough and a clear list
Review the agreed scope together at completion. Identify unfinished details, questions or concerns and record the next step. If something needs attention, call or email FFB with your name, project location, a description and photos when available. Discuss how the issue will be evaluated; a concern deserves a clear conversation.
